winemaker's notes:

Glittering light yellow with green reflections. Aromas that are very agreeable and expressive present scents of white flowers, lime blossom, vanilla, and toffee. The attack is fresh and generous; balanced presentation of well-integrated wood in the mouth offers lovely fullness and an organoleptic persistence that is exceptional for a Bourgogne Blanc.

Serve with fish terrine, fish en papillotes or white meats.

"Astoundingly rich, ripe nose given the price; scents of luscious peach, baked banana and butter. Beautifully textured flavors of stone fruit and lots of butter. Caramel in the finish."

rating (9/28/2010):
This has become one of our favorite white wines. I first discovered it in a wine shop in Hollywood, CA when it was recommended by the staff. We quickly bought several cases and were disappointed when their stock ran out. We were quite pleased to see that Wine.com had a supply. We highly recommend it to others.
Bradley Pine - Washington, DC (read all my reviews)
rating (9/29/2010):
Just what we're looking for in a mid-priced chardonnay - crisp and light with clear fruit but none of the heavy oaky syrupy thing that seems to now be characteristic of the Napa Chardonnays in this price range.
rating (9/28/2010):
OK, it was really good for the price. I'm tired of the prices for French White Burgundy especially when they are compared to very good California Chardonnay's for a fraction of the price. This wine was a pleasant surprise. I actually did not believe that you could buy a decent French Chardonnay under $20.00. I was wrong. This is a good one. I'd buy more if it was available.
rating (9/28/2010):
Being skeptical that a 93 rated wine can be purchased for less than $20, I couldn't resist trying this French chardonnay. I was also curious about the rating capabilities of the Wine News committee. Faiveley is a golden color with a pleasant floral scent. It is crisp, silky, and has a long finish. I didn't try it with food. It is a very good wine, and a bargain. I just don't think it was a great wine, and the rating is less than 93. The Wine News committee did better than most committees.
