Domaine Dujac Clos St. Denis 2006
Pinot Noir
from Burgundy, France
winemaker's notes:
"It is the elegance, finesse and complexity of its wines that sets Burgundy apart. My aim is to try to preserve this unique fruit and sensuality in my wines."
-Jacques Seysses, owner/winemaker
"Bright, deep red. Knockout nose offers pure, delineated aromas of red berries, spices, minerals, rose petal and violet. A suave and spicy fruit bomb in the mouth, with a floral element perfuming the palate. This has even more density and volume than the superb 2007. Finishes wonderfully sappy and firm, with fine tannins dusting the palate. A Burgundy lover's wine."

95-99 points Fine Wine Review: "Dujac has been on fire with its Clos St-Denis for several vintages now, and the 2006 is one of the great wines of the vintage. The nose is truffly and mineral, making for great complexity. In the mouth, the wine is mineral with red fruit, length, and finesse."
