Dom. Schlumberger Riesling Les Princes Abbés 2004
Riesling
from Alsace, France - Other regions
winemaker's notes:
Riesling, a dry yet lively wine with a racy acidity, is considered the noble grape of the Alsatian varietals. It is very different to its German counterpart and to the numerous Rieslings which are now appearing around the world. The Alsace Riesling is better known for the elegant balance of acidity and fruit. It is a late maturing varietal and continues to mature even at quite low temperatures with wonderful results when the vintage ends with a warm and sunny harvest month.
Winemaker Notes
This is a beautiful example of a high quality Riesling that is fruity, dry and robust. It will enhance all simply-prepared dishes and fish, as well as meat. It may easily be cellared three to four years, but is enjoyable now.
