winemaker's notes:

To taste Dom Perignon is to discover the unique spirit and style of a truly great French Champagne.
Every stage of vineyard selection, winemaking and slow cellar aging is, in itself, a quest for perfection. The unique Dom Perignon style is a rich creamy mousse, fine bubbles, a spirited, crisp opening leading into a broad palette of aromas and tastes and finally, the delicacy of the substance itself

"I have had a lot of great vintages of Dom Perignon, but I do not remember any as impressive as the 1996. Even richer than the brilliant 1990, the 1996 is still tightly wound, but reveals tremendous aromatic intensity, offering hints of bread dough, Wheat Thins, tropical fruits, and roasted hazelnuts. Medium to full-bodied, with crisp acidity buttressing the wines wealth of fruit and intensity, it comes across as extraordinarly zesty, well-delineated, and incredibly long on the palate. Moet-Chandon deserves considerable accolades for this prodigious example of Dom Perignon. Anticipated maturity: now-2020+"

dom p will always surpass all vintages of champagne. The 96 is especially clean and light, with flavors of wheat and almond. I am looking foward to tasting it again in 10 years when it has fully matured.
A Customer - Texas
I don't drink wine. But I adore champagne. This has got to be _the_best_ champagne I've ever tasted. It's so beyond any other I've had (even within the same price range). This is worth the price to experience. You may have a hard time sharing, though. *grin* So buy two bottles.
A Customer - The Grape and the Barrel-Ct.
The Dom Perignon 1996 vintage is very very frothy and vibrant in the glass. It tastes like citrus/creame, a hint of candied ginger, and has a strong tingly finish. It will age nicely for several years. If you asked me to rate it, I would give it a 97 rating. Unique.....

Kosher wine
Kosher
A Kosher wine begins like every other - as grapes on a vine. Once they reach the winery for crushing, the wine is under strict rabbinal supervision.
Screw Cap wine
Screw Cap
Many studies report and winemakers agree that screw caps protect wine better and preserve its flavor more effectively than cork. More importantly, screw caps eliminate cork taint caused by TCA, a compound which develops in a small percentage of corks and ruins the taste of wine.
Green wine
Green Wines
Wines that use sustainable, organic and/or biodynamic practices in the vineyard and/or winemaking process. We rely on a number of U.S. and International certifications to qualify wines "green."
Collectible wine
Collectible
These wines will improve from additional bottle age, when properly stored, and may show the greatest potential to increase in value.
Great Wine Gifts
Great Wine Gifts
These selected wines make impressionable gifts for wine enthusiasts and oenophiles alike.
Boutique Wines
Boutique Wines
These wines are made in limited quantities and are typically produced from single vineyard sources or made by small, artisanal wineries. While the winery may produce larger quantities, we limit wines with this designation to a 1,000 case production.
