We offer two ways to locate information:
Michel Maret at Charbonniere is a man of the earth, especially his little parcel of stones, garrigue, and scrub oaks outside Chateauneuf-du-Pape. The vineyard name refers to a hillside where partridge hang out. The kirsch-like perfume of this cuvee is fabulous, and the dense fruit continues all the way through. It is penetrating and has the most elegant tannins of their three bottlings.
"Very juicy and round, with lots of raspberry ganache, plum and kirsch flavors followed by hints of pepper, dark tobacco and licorice on the fresh finish. Drink now through 2020. 2,000 cases made."
