Di Majo Norante Sangiovese is an old favorite of mine, it goes well with pastas, beef, and other similar meals, and is great as an additive in tomato sauce, yet it does not dominate the meal.
This wine is a good dinner companion that will soothe you and not fight with your steak for your attention.
Started out a bit simple, but opened up very nicely. I bought more.

This is a deliciously smooth Sangiovese. I had it with some chicken parm and baked zita. It would make a great full bodied, but friendly, wine for a party with multiple palettes. It has just enough bite to keep it from being a cloyingly vanilla exercise.
This was disappointing. It simply was too one dimensional and light.
Cannot understand what Fran B was drinking. Either the wines were damaged during shipment or she just got 2 bad bottles, but this wine is - year in and year out - fantastic.
A great wine. Moderate tannins, and an earthy taste, not too sweet either.
This was a very light cab that was very easy on the palate. Yet, the taste was great. I would purchase again.
The flavor was great. It goes well with pasta. I finished off nearly half the bottle in one sitting.

not crazy about this sangiovese.
I love dry wine , but this was quite tart. If this was the only red wine on the planet , I'd deal with it. There's so many other wines to try, this would not get a second chance.
This one was definitely a miss.
I tried two bottles and it was like "bad and worse". Among the worst wine I have opened in years. One was totally undrinkable and poured down the drain. The second was little better. So much for gradings and remarks.
No nose, no taste, no nothing, no way ever again - not for me
