Alcohol By Volume Guide
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.
This has a many-hued color with strong pink tinges and fine bubbles. The nose is fresh and direct, with aromas reminiscent of cherries, blackberries, pomegranates and red currants. On the palate, the wine shows a deliciously full body that follows on perfectly from the nose. Its flavors remind one of fresh strawberries and raspberries. The finish has a pleasantly acidulous character that adds to the impression of finesse given by this romantic and well-balanced wine.
"Light salmon color; soft raspberry nose; crisp, juicy and long; elegant, fresh and nicely balanced; stylish and lovely. "
"This graceful rosé shows black raspberry, apricot and orange zest notes, with a refined texture and a thread of spicy mineral that lingers on the creamy finish. Drink now through 2015. 300 cases imported."
"The NV Brut Rose is fabulous. A sweet, open bouquet leads to expressive fruit in this rich, textured wine. The Deutz Rose is a serious wine that can be enjoyed as an aperitif, but it also has more than enough power in reserve to drink well at the dinner table. Floral notes reappear to round out the finish. The blend is 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay. This is Lot LA111D31410. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2015. "
The Wine Advocate
"Bright orange-pink. Musky, floral-accented aromas of cherry and black raspberry, with a hint of graphite coming up with air. Dry but fleshy, offering bitter cherry and dark berry flavors and a touch of orange zest. Finishes firm and dry, with good grip and a lingering floral note."
International Wine Cellar
Impressive all the way and around, the non-vintage Deutz Brut Rose is style and elegant; shows attractive strawberry flavors; bright and perky in the finish. A really effort.

Learn About Champagne
Champagne is both a region and a method. The wines come from the northernmost vineyards in France and the name conjures an image like no other can. An 18th Century Benedictine monk named Dom Perignon is said to be the first to blend both varietals and vintages, making good wines not only great, but also special and unique to their winemaker. Today, nearly 75% of Champagne...

one of those wines that is just deliciously appealing. The pink color in a rose sparkler comes from the skins -
means that the wine must include at least one of the red grapes of the traditional method -
Pinot Noir or Pinot...
