This vintage has an antique rose color with purple hues and fine, rapid and persistent bubbles. There are sweet red berries on the nose, which lead to notes of rhubarb and lychee. On the palate, it is flavorful and elegant, showing strawberries and other red berries. A touch of mint can be detected on the finish.
The color and style are created by the dosage of eight percent Ay red wine. The grapes for the wine come from Meurtet, a hillside vineyard in Ay with perfect sun exposure.
Food Pairing: This particular Champagne is recommended with food. It pairs well with salmon and mushroom sauce, beef carpaccio, duck and blueberry sauce, lamb cutlets, or a variety of creamy cheeses.
