winemaker's notes:
Crafted from fruit grown in the Columbia Valley of Washington, the 2004 Desert Wind Ruah is an affirmation of eastern Washington's viticultural prowess. This full bodied, Bordeaux-inspired blend is enveloped in a lush core of concentrated blackberry fruit with a hint of anise on the palate.
"Polished, round and beautifully open in texture, with perfumed raspberry, currant and cedar flavors that keep singing through the well-tuned finish. Has grace and style. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Drink now through 2012."

Desert Wind Ruah is an outstanding wine. It's rich in flavor, full-bodied, and balanced with a remarkable finish! It can easily compete with international wines at many times the price. Kudos to everyone at Desert Wind. It made our evening meal a truly memorable occasion.

I purchased this by chance, and was most surprised. What is a Ruah? I lived in Italy for a few years and drank the best. I really appreciate Yakima/Columbia Valley vines. This is really worth drinking. I don't spend my time or money on worthless drink.
