Aged for an average of 20 years in old oak casks, the 20 Year Old is a finely balanced wine of phenomena richness and complexity. The additional 10 years of aging yields an elegant balance between the nutty honeyed finish and the vivid raisiny fruit. The 20 year old tawny is an extremely versatile dessert wine essential to complete the meal.

"The soft, honeyed nose is entirely inviting, hinting at the refinement this wine carries from start to finish. Though not a heavyweight, there's a goodly amount of apricot and quince mixed with toffee and crème brûlée. Scrumptious, racy and recommended for those who like good Port."

I don't drink port, but my husband loves it. And he loves this one in particular. For the price, he says it is one of the best available and appreciates the complexity of flavors. We've gone through 3 bottles of this already! I'd give it 5 stars, but he sampled a $100 port that he says was 5 stars, and this isn't quite as good as that one. So 4 it is, with the comment that regardless of price, it is one of the best ports he's had; and THE best at this price.

The Delaforce Curious and Ancient 20 Year Old Tawny has exceptional character, color and taste. Hints of caramel, raisin, and apricot dance on your palate and the finish is extremely sweet and firm. Try with Havarti or Cheddar cheese or along with vanilla ice cream!!
