Offering aromas of red berry pie laced with exotic spices, this Zinfandel is lush and elegant with delightful hints of mineral and spice. Medium bodied with lower alcohol and a lighter style, this juicy, fruit forward Zinfandel dances on the palate with flavors of blackberry bramble and subtle notes of crushed minerals. Excellent with wine-braised chicken with shallots and olives, eggplant parmesan or flank steak stuffed with proscuitto and red peppers.
"From a dry-farmed vineyard on a protected knoll above the fog in Green Valley, this zin ripened to sweet black fruit while still holding its zesty cool. It's peppery and (relatively) light in body, more silk than velvet. The cut of acidity and tannin extends the flavors into each bike of lamb, particularly if it's marinated in Middle Eastern spices."
