David Bruce Santa Cruz Mountain Pinot Noir 2001

This wine combines fruit from our Estate Vineyard with that of three others in our own Santa Cruz Mountains. Grown at elevations ranging from 600 to over 2000 feet, these vineyards share a strong Pacific influence that cools the fruit and extends the growing season. The result is a wine with exceptional fruit, structure and depth. The nose offers ripe cherry and strawberry aromas with toasted oak and a hint of vanilla beneath. The palate is surprisingly supple and will drink well in its youth, or evolve nicely for five or more years with proper cellaring.
