The fruit for the 2007 Dancing Bull Zinfandel is sourced from multiple diverse appellations in an effort to blend warm and cool climate fruit into a layered, yet approachable Zinfandel. The cooler climate of the North Coast adds contrast to the blend, balancing the intense ripeness of the fruit sourced from Lodi. Lodi offers the ideal climate for producing ripe, full flavored Zinfandels, which benefit from the distinctive Bay and Delta breezes that cool the region's afternoons. This climate creates ripe, forward fruit and soft tannins.
www.dancingbullwines.com says that this wine is made by people from Rancho Zabaco from grapes grown all over California. It's a good, drinkable Zin but probably not as good as those with their home label.
I just reviewed this wine on my blog, for the price, there are better Zins out there. Check out the review here: http://thecorkscrooge.wordpress.com/2010/01/24/2007-dancing-bull-zinfandel/
