Cristom Pinot Gris 2001

This dry style Pinot Gris is pale straw colored with very subtle aromas of cantaloupe and pears along with hints of honey and bread yeast. The Palate displays good varietal character along with some melon flavors and a slight nuance of licorice. The texture seems to be a bit viscous yt the acidity cuts through it to give the wine a long finish and good balance. Like most of our wines, this wine is best when accompanied with food. Although not a wine to cellar for a long time, it should continue to improve for a year or two.
