winemaker's notes:

Enticing aromas that are strikingly similar to Viognier, lightly floral with hints of peach pit, honeydew rind, white pear, and tangerine. On the palate, it has beautiful structure and acidity similar to Sauvignon Blanc along with beguiling fruit flavors that keep you coming back for another sip and plenty of body for a wine that shows such delicate aromas and flavors. Fruity, floral and yet still quite dry, this wine has to be tasted to be believed.

Best enjoyed in its youth either by itself, or as a wonderful partner with smoked meats, mild to medium-strong cheeses, and seafood (especially sushi!). Keep one in the fridge at all times.

alcohol by volume: 13.8%
critical acclaim:

"The 2011 Torrontes offers up enticing aromas of peach, melon, floral, and tropical fruit. Medium-bodied, dry, savory, and nicely proportioned, this lengthy effort will deliver plenty of enjoyment over the next 1-2 years."

Good solid Torrontes. My guest love it as it is great easy drinking white.
rating (12/2/2012):
A surprisingly good wine for the price. This bottle was bright and off-dry, I'd say even though the pros call it dry. I believe that's because it offers an abundance of mouthwatering fruit that leaves you thirsting for more. I served it on 11/30/2012 at home for a date night with champagne mustard chicken with fresh tarragon over brussel sprouts and mushrooms to delectable effect! I would surely buy this again.

This was my first Torrontes and so I had no expectations. So pleased when it blew me away! I am now in love with this varietal. Fruit and perfume with the perfect balance of acidity, the kind of wine you could drink every day.

Wonderfully fruity wine, more robust than Sauvignon Blanc. Can be paired with many foods, but quite satisfying to sip.

Love this fruity, aromatic wine! It is delicious to sip on all summer long and is extremely food friendly! I love with mild cheeses, light crab dip, Thai salads, pasta with fresh summer veggies, grilled mahi mahi with fruit salsa!

This is a favorite summer wine. It's super floral, lots of juicy ripe fruits and then this zesty acidity to back it up in the palate. Drink it all summer.

Love this wine! In my book, adult lemonade. Completely refreshing and fruity yet not on the sweet side. Get this one, you won't be disappointed!

rating (6/6/2012):
This is a really excellent Torrontes. It is medium bodied with all the intensely floral bouquet and ripe fruit of the varietal. Interestingly, the bottle holds just a hint of carbonation and when freshly opened the wine will tingle pleasantly on the tip of your tongue. Ends with a lovely, crisp acidity.
rating (5/25/2012):
Crios de Susana Balbo Malbec 2010 was a wonderful wine that I served at a ladies brunch.
