Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

With a brilliant and clear golden color, this wine has an intense and delicate bouquet, the dominating fruits are pineapple and melon, with faint touches of vanilla. The elegant oak combines perfectly with the fruit and the acidity. On the palate, it is friendly and very elegant.

Critical Acclaim

"Light gold. Apple, melon and Meyer lemon on the fragrant, spice-accented nose. Bright and lithe in the mouth, with good energy to its citrus and orchard fruit flavors. This brisk, linear, nicely focused chardonnay finishes with good punch and lingering citrus and spice notes. This wine did not go through malolactic fermentation."
