This is the first vintage to be produced at the new production-only Conundrum Winery in the Santa Lucia Highlands of Monterey County. Our wine's core profile remains thoroughly Californian, with Sauvignon Blanc grapes from the Napa Valley, Muscat Canelli from Tulare county on the Central Coast, and Chardonnay and Viognier from our vineyards in Monterey County. The "puzzle" of Conundrum lies partly in guessing the range of grape varieties we use, because we never reveal its exact composition.
Powerful aromas of green apple, tangerine zest and honeysuckle. Core flavors of apricot, melon, pear and light vanilla are beautifully balanced by the sparkling acidity of cirtus fruits. The lush, creamy, mouth-filling texture is heightened by powerful floral and bright tropical fruit notes and leads to a full, powerful finish.
We are new to the wine world. The Conundrum 2007 is tasty. Fruity with the right amount of sweetness. For the price it would be hard to top. After testing our second bottle. We bought a case. Enjoy it so much might need to pickup more cases.
Conundrum is always interesting, and quite tasty this year.
