ratings pedigree (past vintages):
winemaker's notes:

The "puzzle" of Conundrum lies partly in guessing the range of grape varieties used, because its exact composition is never revealed!

To create the layered flavors that go into the Conundrum blend, Sauvignon Blanc grapes were brought in from the Napa Valley, Muscat Canelli from Tulare County on the Central Coast, and Chardonnay and Viognier from Conundrum's vineyards in Monterey County.

About one quarter of the wine lots were fermented in stainless steel in order to preserve their individual fruit characteristics. The remaining lots were fermented in a combination of new and seasoned oak barrels for up to ten months.

Conundrum 2006 exhibits soft tropical notes of guava and cherimoya, also peach and honeysuckle. The rich perfume is supported by concentrated and focused layers of peach and apricot nectar, pear and green melon with spicy vanilla notes. The creamy texture and balanced acidity carries through the palate for a long finish.

rating (9/27/2010):
This is definitely a wine to buy! I usually lean more toward the reds, but this is such a yummy white wine, I just keep buying it (and drinking it!) It's worth a good swirl...but more worth that first exquisite mouthful - it's just so fruity and clean on the palate. Perfect for a summer day outside or in winter by the fire with pasta. Or, heck, have a slice of cheesecake and enjoy a glass, it's that versatile!

Susy's a fan of this one.

I first experienced this wine at an nice Asian Fusion restaurant. This wine was the recommendation of sommelier with our meal and I have find my way back to this bottle a lot of times.
rating (9/28/2010):
Full of tropical fruit - mango, passionfruit and guava. A great summer quaffer to enjoy by the pool
rating (9/27/2010):

Although I think Conundrum continues to ride a bit on prior history; in the early 90s, it was better. But still can't be beat in the summer.
rating (9/27/2010):
I was a little surprized when I had the 1st sip....The taste was nice and crisp. Not to strong. Perfect for a picnic or dinner gatherings. We had it for thanksgiving and everyone love it.

Smooth, Spicy, Delicious... it is indeed as its naming implies. I am buying a case next time. It is perfect. Not too dry, not too sweet... a little piece of Heaven.
rating (9/20/2010):
This is one of my favorite whites so I was very excited to see the promotion. This one, however, was sweeter than the ones I've had in the past - not sure why that is, but it was still refreshing and different than other wines I'm usually drawn to.
rating (9/18/2010):
Perfect wine, for any time of the year. I don't even like sweeter tasting wines, but love Conundrum.
rating (9/17/2010):
This is a VERY sweet wine for table wine. More of a dessert than dinner wine.
