Nose: Classic Cabernet Sauvignon aromas of plum, cassis and black cherry are enhanced by the addition of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and time in French oak. The resulting collage yields sweet spice, anise, leather, dusty earth, and hints of Grandpa's cedar cigar box.
Palate: Rich and luscious, the ‘97 Anthology is replete with flavors of marinated cherry, blueberry, ripe plum, vanilla, and toasty oak, which linger in the silky finish. This is a medium-to-full bodied vintage that will shine particularly brightly alongside hearty meat dishes and strong cheeses.
