Critical Acclaim

"Bright ruby-red. Complex, youthful aromas of boysenberry, cassis, raspberry, fruitcake and mole sauce. Juicy, penetrating flavors of dark berries and leather. Firm acids give this wine terrific clarity and energy in the mouth. Finishes long, juicy and aromatic, with very firm, slightly drying tannins and hints of resiny oak and dried cranberry. I found this more exciting than Alejandro Fernandez's 2000 Pesquera Reserva, his original Ribera del Duero wine."
91 Points

"The 2000 Reserva offers up aromas of lead pencil shavings intermixed with spicy new oak and sweet black cherries, medium to full body, a seamless integration of acidity and tannin, and an opulent, fruit-driven finish. Enjoy it over the next 7-8 years."
