Color: Dark and deep red.
Bouquet: Flavors as black as night: dark cherries, dark berries and a lasting smoky, yet rich, black tar.
Taste: Complexity develops out of its firm, quiet, supple core.
The wine marries well with a variety of steaks, roasts, pastas with medium to hearty sauces, and cheeses.
This is an underrated merlot folks. One of the best I have tried. This merlot has a powerful nose with a bold yet silky finish and the refinement of a 90+ point wine. Pairs exceptionally well with Hearty meats and duck.
Whether it's the aroma, the viscosity, the mouthfeel, the finish whatever I just think this is one of my favorite wines. I like it better than their Cabs. I have found no other wine in it's price catagory that satisfies me as much.
I had tried this Merlot at a tasting and was pleasantly surprised. It is a great wine to take to dinner and to a friends house for dinner. Elegant and full of flavor. What a great wine for the price. I liked it bettter than the Cab.
I tried this wine at a local Ann Arbor restaurant and loved it. When I received it from Wine.com I still really enjoyed the flavor of this wine.
I brought this wine to a friend's for dinner. We were having a nice London Broil and this wine was a perfect pairing. It is smooth, yet has an explosive bouquet. It goes down quite easily... just a yummy wine for such a low price. Try it!
Cinnamon, mineral, blackberry and plum. Complex with a great finish. Outstanding value compared to that thing they call merlot in california.
This is my second purchase of this earthy Merlot. Good bang for your buck with a European-style finish.
Would be great with a Steak or Pork
