Concha y Toro Marques de Casa Concha Merlot 2003
Merlot
from Chile, South America
winemaker's notes:
Velvety, supple, mouthwatering Merlot from Chile at a great price. Deep purple in color, with a bouquet of red plums, black peppers, cassis, with hints of spices. This Merlot has velvety, firm, ripe tannins imparting smoothness and balance. Subtle hints of vanilla and ripe fruit.
Aged 14 months in one, two, and three years old French oak barrels, then aged for a further six to 8 months after bottling.
Enjoy with red and white meats, pasta, cheese.

Great wine.. needs some time but once it gets there, it's a great combination for a good steak
A Customer - East Coast
Balanced, smooth, plumy, and velvety at first, then it evolved as times passed. It had more depth and more subtle tannin. It kept getting bigger....I haven't finished the whole bottle yet. To be continued.
