A blend of 76% Pinot Noir, 13% Mourvèdre, 5% Petite Sirah, 4% Zinfandel and 2% Cinsault.

The 2007 Pinot Noir, Limited Release is rich in both color and fragrance. This medium-bodied wine displays vibrant aromas of red cherry, ripe strawberry and pomegranate. The bright red fruit flavors are balanced with warm spice accents of cloves and cinnamon, and vanilla notes round out the palate. This food-friendly wine has a smooth finish.

Enjoy with smoked duck breast, beet and endive salad, or roast pork shoulder with prune, apple and pistachio stuffing.

My favorite restaurant serves Concannon Pinot Noir, which on my first taste stopped me mid-sip to absorb its awe-inspiring taste. I only needed one glass. It was enough. The proprietor said it was her favorite. I started buying it at Vons. Today I picked up a bottle and got home to find out it was Limited Release 2007. Fabulous. But my sales receipt says I paid $22.96 (usually $25.98 without a Club Card) and the shelf tag said $10 something. I'm not at all disappointed. This is a special wine.

We are new to the wine world. We have found the Pinot Noir to be more to our liking in the reds. Not this one. Was to dry and not fruity like other Pinot Noir wines.
