Well balanced wine once you let it breathe a little. A good wine for everyday use
Petite Sirah is one of my new favorite wines and this is a good one.
I had this Concannonc over the holidays and wasn't sure. This afternoon I gave it another chance. Opened the bottle about 30 minutes before serving anfd it came through as a very good table wine. Plummy, a but full, little tannin with a decent finish.
Good change of pace from my usual Cabernets. Full body and smooth. I like this one very much.

A likeable wine, but somewhat boring.

I bought this wine not knowing anything about it. When I drank it I commented to my wife how wonderful it was. I could not remember how much I paid but guessed that, based on the quality, that I paid in excess of $30. For the money, this is the best petite syrah I have ever had.

Good wine - not great but definitely good. And at 10 dollars a bottle, it is a bargin that it is hard to beat.

YUP - This Concannon 2004 Limited Release Petite Sirah is a great wine and quite a deal for under $9.00 (or under $13 as I see price has gone up now - it's worth it!) Definitely full-bodied up-front black berry/cherry power with notable but not overpowering oak. Deep inky purple color. AND Pleasantly much more smooth than I expected for a wine with this power.

This is by far one of my fav wines. Forget the fact that it is under $15......ConCannon has done it!!!

I was just as impressed with the customer care, shipping, and promptness with wine.com as I was with the wine. Definitely a bold wine which gets better the more you drink it. Was great with a ribeye roast. Keep up the good work wine.com! I will be ordering more of the Petite Sirah as soon as I finish my next two bottles.

Great bottle of wine. You need to purchase one just to see the bottle... it's as beefy as the wine. Full but not too complex. Easy finish. Great wine to bring over to a dinner party (the bottle will impress as much as the wine).

Sorry youronlysin but this isn't a Syrah. Petite Sirah is it's own variety of grape and is not related to Syrah.

Big, bold; an excellent petite sirah for the price. Well with steak; chicken and even Indian food!!! Highly recommended.

Dry, pleasant nose, hints of fruit, cigar smoke, earth. Lite on the palatte, and pleasantly does not linger, which I would expect. A refreshing Petite Syrah.

For the price, this is a terrific sirah; Dry with no after taste.

This is a Big, Bold wine. Its almost too much at first taste, but tends to get better as you drink it. It’s a Syrah, and if you've never tried one, be prepared. Its full of flavor. Big flavor. This would be good with a red meat...something spicy like a peppercorn rubbed steak or roast, but dont drink this with anything less than a bold meal. Dinner guests who were only familiar with Merlot and Cab from a box did not like this. At all. Guests who are true wine enthusiasts will appreciate it with a meal that compliments its boldness.

Although I have not always been pleased by wines purchased based upon a write up, this one is an absolute exception. Heavier body than expected, just enough tannin for a good finish. You can't go wrong at this price…

Best Petite Sirah I have had in some time....and the price couldn't be more reasonable!

Concannon is a master at Petite Sirah. One of the best values around.
