The artisan winemaking processes people associate with small, family-owned wineries are all on view in this Reserve Chardonnay. Small vineyard lots were selected early in the growing season, and grapes were given precious extra time on the vine before harvest. The hand-picked grapes were fermented in new Burgundian French oak barrels, followed by malolactic fermentation to give the wine its creamy, nutty quality. A year on the lees with gentle hand-stirring completed the process.
