Columbia Crest Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2004
Cabernet Sauvignon
from Columbia Valley, Washington
winemaker's notes:
"The intense fruit in this Cabernet Sauvignon does not
deter from the aromatics of chocolate cherry and slight
mint, which precede a palate of cocoa and black cherry
flavors. This is an elegant, complex wine that culminates
in the perfect balance of wood and fruit on the
lingering finish."
- Ray Einberger, Winemaker
I would not buy this wine again
I tried the '05 first, really liked it so I thought I would try the '04, being a bit older, the same price, (and the '05 was out of stock at the time). Got two bottles here, and not sorry I did, this is a nice wine, but, for a dollar more, the 05 is the one to get, it is richer tasting, more oak and more berry flavors, I recommend if you are gonna get one that is the one to buy at a similar price. The 2004 is nice, same flavors, but the 05 is richer, softer, more luscious, a bit more alcohol taste too, but much more of a wowing kind of cabernet.
