Columbia Crest Grand Estates Cabernet Sauvignon 2000
Cabernet Sauvignon
from Columbia Valley, Washington
winemaker's notes:
"This is a deep, dark wine with black cherry, blueberry and mocha aromas woven with cedar and toast. The flavors are rich and concentrated, and the tannins provide structure and complexity that make this wine ideal for immediate enjoyment or capable of aging for 15 years." - Doug Gore, Winemaker

I thoroughly enjoyed this wine. After opening I kept it corked in the refrigerator. When I pour a glass I let it air and warm up. The flavor is intense and tannins soft. Softer than the C.S.M. '01 I had just finished. The smell, the taste and the finish are great. I'd give this a 90. I'd definitely buy this again.
A Customer - Houston Texas
This is the first and only wine of Washington state in which I have discovered a nice blueberry taste. After decanting for 6 hours it really came out nicely. This wine is similar to the Veramonte 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon of Maipo Valley, Chile.
