An incredible wine from New Zealand's premiere producer. A soft, yet delightfully spicy chardonnay exhibiting a unique balance of melon and citrus. The taste is at first full bodied, but delicately textured with just the right hint of nutty toast. The finish displays the yeasty note of open vat fermantation and a distinct earthiness. My vote is that you can't go wrong with Cloudy Bay. Hands down better value than most California chardonnays at twice the price. For something special, try their Sauvignon Blanc. Its world class.
