Winemaker's Notes

This 100% Grenache wine is nothing less than dynamite in 2007, a mix of serious spice and lush, red-fruited, amazingly pure juice. Very fresh and very concentrated at once—we love just how easy it is to approach, but its true beauty lies in how it evolves in the glass. "Les Safres" echoes the terroir from which the wine is born—the sandy soils of "Bédines" delivers a wine of harmony and grace.

Critical Acclaim

"Deep, vivid red. Impressively fresh, sexy bouquet of dark berries, smoky herbs, minerals and Asian spices. Very precise flavors of sweet blackberry and boysenberry are nicely supported by fully absorbed tannins and gentle mineral snap. Already extremely alluring, this 100%-grenache wine finishes with outstanding clarity, spiciness and length. "

Most wines from the Southern Rhone use Grenache as their...
