Inky black and ruby red in color, on the nose the 2008 Marlstone exhibits complex aromas of cassis, cedar and baking spice, followed by a palate of concentrated fruit with fine grain tannin, powerful and balanced, concluding with a long, rich finish.

Blend: 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 5% Malbec, 4% Petit Verdot

alcohol by volume: 14.5%

I wish I had purchased ALOT more. This is a lovely blend with deep, rich fruit flavor and a smooth finish. We drank this before a meal but I think it would pair nicely with game meat or beef. Yummy!

At this year's Main Line Today Wine & Food Affair - the PALCB sampled this wine and sold it at $24.99. I've seen it retail as high as $49.00. It drinks like a $100 bottle. The blend is spot on - would even suggest buying extra and storing for two-three years to see what happens in the bottle. Intense color, full bodied from the jump and yet super silky smooth.
