Located in the northern Médoc near the two small town of Saint Christoly de Médoc and Couquèques, this estate of only 6.5 hectares produces a garage wine of extraordinary quality. It is representative of the new wave of modern, fruit forward, concentrated wines that are coming from the "left bank" of Bordeaux.
"This big time sleeper of the vintage is a blend of 50% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Petit Verdot, and the rest Cabernet Franc. An outstanding effort, it boasts a dense ruby/purple color along with a classic bouquet of charcoal, acacia flowers, blueberries, black currants, and a touch of licorice. Complex, medium to full-bodied, supple, and fleshy with abundant fruit as well as silky tannins, it finishes with considerable texture. This vineyard achieved 13.45% natural alcohol. Drink it over the next 7-8 years."
