We visited this winery in 2000 and have since carried the memories from an event there one evening. The cabernet was memorable and still is. We just moved to Dallas from Chicago and are able to find this wine at retail for the first time. It is incredible. Imagine, after looking for Clos du Val for 6 years, then you move to a new city and are walking through the grocery store your first day in your new house and this label jumps off the shelf at you. There is was. Of course, I bought it. My wife was as excited as I and it made for a great night, enjoying our new house and our new pool together for the first time. Needless to say the wine itself is great. It is complex, deep, easy to drink, smooth, just very enjoyable. It will be a wine I pick up regularly. Do try it.
