This Zin is really fantastic. With the allure of 80-100 year old vines, I was anticipating this one... and Cline did not let me down. Very complex, lots of flavor, with smokey raspberries (if there is such a thing) and lots of earthey, textured flavors. Long finish. Drank this right after the Villa Mt. Eden Zin and they are quite different and quite good in their different ways... Villa Mt. Eden is smoother, silkier... lots of flavor. Cline is very complex, many tastes to sort out... very exotic... demands a strong cheese and/or fois grois

This is one of the finest, perhaps the finest, Zin I've experienced. It has rich, complex flavor and a wonderful finish. Cline's ancient vines do not disappoint. Because of its depth, this might not be the best Zin for a new red wine drinker to
start out on. It could take a bit of wine tasting experience to appreciate.

This is a lovely wine, spicy and fruity at the same time. It's delicious as a solo glass in the evening and was also quite tasty with roast lamb.
Strangely, i really dont care for the nose on this wine. There's something about it that's faintly offputting to me and i found myself being careful not to inhale deeply before each sip.

Yep! Spicy and complicated when you first taste it, then long and lingering when it goes down. I don't know why they named it Old Vines, but the wine does have an ancient, chewy, almost thick quality. But not in a bad way, it all hangs together.

This wine is dee-licious. A colleague treated me to this exceptional, mouth-filling, raspberry infused zinfandel and I've been hooked ever since! Thanks Louis!
