Christian Moueix Merlot is the personal cuvée of the dynamic, charismatic figure whose name it bears. Christian Moueix has brought the complete expression of the Merlot grape a step nearer perfection in this wine, selected and blended to show the ripe, rich fruit, seductive fragrance and elegant balance of the Bordelaise interpretation of the variety.
This is an interesting Merlot and the price leaves it wide open for experimentation with different food pairings. I will be ordering a full case for that purpose.
Allow it to breath for at least an hour or more with the bottle open, and perhaps at least 15-30 minutes in the glass. You should be well pleased with the result.
