Christian Moreau Chablis 2005
Chardonnay
from Burgundy, France
winemaker's notes:
With fruit in a similar style to 1999 and 2000, the 2005 vintage promises to be stellar, with overall quality on par with these vintages and 1996 and 2002. Growers compare the character of 2005 to 2003, except that the warm temperatures were not as extreme, and as a result, the fruit exhibited superior ripeness, acidity and balance. Simply put, the 2005 Chablis wines show the potential to be as good or better than the finest vintages in recent memory.
Food pairings: Veal, shrimp, shellfish, scallops, salmon, salads, oysters, lobster, fowl, fish, crab, chicken.
