Deep red with purple hue. The nose of this wine is filled with luscious blackberry, cocoa, cassis and hints of vanilla and a bit of clove and coffee. The texture of this wine never disappoints. Velvet, rich and mouth filling with the burst of red fruit in the front palate and a long sensual finish.
"Smooth, dry and rich, this Merlot-based Bordeaux blend shows complex flavors of black currants, black cherries, mocha and cedar. The tannins are thick, but very finely ground, with a sweet nutty taste. Shows real class and finesse."
"Solid garnet hue. Cherry cola and coffee bean aromas with new oak and clove accents. Spicy black cherry fruit with a cloak of fine tannins, minerals and lightly toasted oak. Dry, flinty finish with plenty of promising fruit waiting to turn the corner."
The Wine News
Earthy & Spicy
This wine was very tight 1st pour. A bit acidic. By the third pour, under vacuum, on the third day, it mellowed out. I think this wine was past its prime and is on its way out. The nose was no where what it probably once was,nor was the flavor, especially at this price.
