Chatham Hill Winery was established in 1999 as the first winery in the Triangle area. The mission of our winery is to produce distinctive, handcrafted wines of high quality and purity from grapes grown in North Carolina. We carefully select high quality grapes from vineyards with old vines and low yields to ensure quality and consistency.
At Chatham Hill we believe in a minimalist approach to winemaking. Our wines are produced using traditional methods. Although we only try to help Mother Nature in turning grapes into wine, we use the highest quality materials and meticulously sterilized equipment. We emphasize the scientific approach in controlling the conditions under which the grapes are fermented and wines are aged, blended, and bottled. We believe the combination of our winemaking skills and philosophy will yield a premium wine, a goal to which we are passionately committed.
