Wine Style Guide

Light & Fruity

Red wines that are more fruit-forward and lighter in tannin and body.

Smooth & Supple

Medium bodied reds that go down easy, with smooth tannins and supple fruit.

Earthy & Spicy

Wines where earthy and/or spicy dominate the flavors – typically medium to full body.

Big & Bold

Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.

Winemaker's Notes

A delicious red blend from low yielding Syrah, Mourvedre, Carignan and Grenache vineyards in the foothills of the French Pyrenees. A dark red wine with rich flavors of fruit, spice and meaty characters with a firm structure. Perfect alongside a meal of grilled lamb and sausage.

Fruity but bitter, so needs to be served cold.

I did not enjoy this wine. It tasted thin and watery. It was very "grapey"...this was a wine club pick and usually the selections are great, but this one was not a hit with me!
