Chateau Vignot Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2004
Bordeaux Red Blends
from St-Emilion, Bordeaux, France
winemaker's notes:
Blend: 68% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 2% Cabernet Sauvignon
The vines that "make" Château Vignot are located in the foothills of which the vineyard rests. The Château Vignot wine is aromatic, round and mature. It melts in the mouth with a long finish. This wine is very rich and complex with a charming character. Deep in color, rich and dark. Well structured nose of currants and licorice. Round explosion in the mouth with harmonious spice, almonds and peach over red fruits. Soft tannins, long finish of spice.
"Fresher and more floral than the 2003, with flavors that run toward mulberry while adding hints of vanilla and maple syrup. It's richer, creamier and longer than the 2003, showing the results of Seillan having full control over the property for the entire year. Drink now-2015."
