This Riesling exudes mandarin orange and sweet lime aromas and flavors with subtle mineral notes. The mouth-watering acidity is beautifully balanced by flavorful Washington Riesling fruit. After a decade we have truly found our 'Eroica style,' striving for beautiful bright fruit with crisp acidity and enhanced minerality.

"This wine just gets better with every new vintage. Young and fresh, it hits the palate with lip-puckering acidity, rolling on flavors of lemons, oranges, citrus rind, and then into mango and papaya. Though the residual sugar is listed at 1.6%, it shows only in a pleasing roundness in the lengthy finish. Delicious now, but entirely cellar-worthy for a decade or longer."

I've bought quite a bit of Ste Michelle riesling in the past, and for the rating I expected this vintage to be outstanding. Though it wasn't bad, I was a little disappointed. I prefer a riesling that is slightly sweet and mellow rather than crisp or tart. Silky is what I'm going for. This was more on the perky side.
