My goal with the Columbia Valley Chardonnay is to make it a pleasurable, food-friendly Chardonnay. This 2007 bottling is a fresh, soft Chardonnay with bright sweet citrus fruit character with subtle spice and oak nuances. I blend Chardonnay grapes from vineyards all over the Columbia Valley to make this a complex, interesting wine. The sur lie aging gives it an appealing softness.
Pair with foods such as crab, poultry, salmon, scallops and herbs such as ginger, lemon zest, tarragon and thyme.
