Chateau Ste. Michelle Canoe Ridge Estate Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2001
Cabernet Sauvignon
from Columbia Valley, Washington
winemaker's notes:
Complex aromas of cassis and blackberry against a backdrop of tanned leather lead to ripe fruit flavors punctuated with notes of chocolate and cedar. Supple, silky tannins are seamlessly integrated with lingering toasty oak characters, producing an elegant finish with great length and richness.
"The medium to dark ruby-colored 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon Canoe Ridge Estate has gorgeous plum, blackberry, and violet aromas. This intense, thick, dense, and concentrated wine is medium to full-bodied and velvety-textured. Assorted dark fruits and spices can be found throughout this extremely well-made wine's personality as well as in its long, structured finish."

A Customer - Tacoma, WA
This wine is a fine compliment to red meats and chocolate. The flavor is aromatic, being a delight to the nose. It has the languid weight of fresh pressed fruit juice and is slightly dry on the tounge giving it a flavorful refreshing finish. A beautiful companion for steak and chocolate becomes a nearly sensual experience. If you're drinking it just for the love of Cabernet, it's an private interlude of tastes no matter where you are.
