Chateau Ste. Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon 2001
Cabernet Sauvignon
from Columbia Valley, Washington
winemaker's notes:
Rich, ripe and powerful in flavor, yet beautifully refined to show off delicate jam, loganberry, plum and blueberry notes. A seductive wine, with pretty integrated oak and aromas of honey, cinnamon and chocolate. Velvety tannins linger on the long and lingering finish.

Your patience will be rewarded if can wait. But once this wine is breathing it unfolds its true complex character. Jump the gun and you will be confused. The tastes are too tightly bunched. I'm putting some of this away for a special occasion. A steal at current prices.

I am typically not a big fan of Ch. Ste. Michelle, but I can not say enough about this vintage. The quality of this wine for the price should not be past up.
