Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Bright aromas of ripe stone fruit, lemon zest and hints of honeysuckle jump from the glass at the first whiff of this single vineyard Chardonnay. Notes of vanilla and subtle spice lead to a medium-bodied mouthfeel with notes of melon, and wet stone minerality. The wine has a creamy texture with bright acidity and the classic Robert Young Chardonnay long-lasting lemon oil finish.

Critical Acclaim

"Graceful and understated, with delicate, fragrant floral, white peach, honeydew melon and smoky oak notes, all beautifully proportioned, offering a long finish."

excellent value. A nice mouthful and I believe will age nicely. It has a very good nose and a pale yellow color
