I first tasted this CSJ Pinot Noir 1998 at the winery. It was the second tasting of the day. My taste buds were not shot! The nose was full of fruit. After it breathed in the glass for a few minutes there was a wounderful light toasted Almond aroma. The wine was very well balanced and full of fruit. It was low in Tannins making it very drinkable now. I bought a half a case (three weeks ago) and only have two bottles left. Time for another trip to the wine country! The best meal I have prepared with this wine is Fillet and cubbed Sauteed garlic chicken over Rice Pilaf with a mixed green salid and Extra Virgin olive oil. Email me if you want the whole recipe. If you like Pinot this is a good purchase.
