This was a nice light bodied white, fairly dry with the mentioned flavors of pear and a bit of grapefruit. There is some vanilla in the nose and flavor, but where the oak really shines is in the finish. Theres strong oak that hints at smoke. I liked this well enough, but the finish makes it shine quite well. With food the mixture of fruit and oak make for some really interesting effects that tend to work very well. I'd rate this around an 88.
