Chateau Musar Cuvee Rose 2004
The Musar Cuvee Rose 2004 is made exclusively from the Cinsault grape. The 2004 vintage features an excellent balance of alcohol, fruit and acidity. The Rose has an incredible red berry color. The nose exhibits ripe cherries, red fruits and rose water, with a hint of chocolate. In the mouth it is rich, round and mellow, with a concentration of strawberry and mature cherry fruit flavors.
Chateau Musar Winery
Chateau Musar was established in Lebanon in 1930 by Gaston Hochar, and the winery is presently run by his two sons, Serge and Ronald. Serge studied oenology at the University of Bordeaux and has been the winemaker at Chateau Musar since 1959, successfully delivering nearly every vintage despite Lebanon's wartime difficulties. Alcohol By Volume GuideMost wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.
