We offer two ways to locate information:
Monbousquet blanc was created to prove that it is possible to make a great white wine in Saint Emilion. The wine is aged in new oak barrels on its lees and bâtonné (regularly stirred with a stick) to release its full aromatic complexity. Monbousquet blanc is aged in the same barrel for 6 months. The final blending is done just before bottling, and the wine is neither fined nor filtered.
"Shows lots of pineapple, mineral and lemon character. Fresh and lively, with plenty of flavor and crispness. This is complex. 75 percent Sauvignon Blanc, 25 percent Sauvignon Gris. Barrel Sample: 90-93 Points "

"Bright, pale yellow. Sappy, complex nose offers citrus peel, pineapple, fresh herbs and a whiff of banana. Extremely fresh and primary in the mouth, with rare intensity and stylishness for this cuvee, which is made from a single hectare of vines planted to 60% sauvignon blanc, 30% sauvignon gris and 5% each muscadelle and semillon. There's terrific cut and lift to the flavors of spices, fresh herbs and honey; a bit like chewing on grapes today. Finishes very long, pure and perfumed. Promises to be the finest and most complex vintage yet for this rare white wine from St. Emilion. Range: 90-93"
