"Good bright ruby. Wild, expressive aromas of medicinal blue and black fruits and licorice. Extremely young, even a bit brutal for a 2007, but with noteworthy depth to its black fruit flavors. Harmonious framing acidity gives this wine a juicy character, and the tannins are fairly fine. Owner Gerard Perse told me that the fruit was considerably riper than in 2006 "and almost as ripe as 2005." An excellent showing. Range: 88-91"
