Critical Acclaim

"There's lovely toasted coconut, apple pie and lemon cream character on the nose. Full-bodied, with bright, lively acidity and a long, clean, almost minerally finish. Drink now. 2,500 cases made."
90 Points

"White currants, honeyed citrus, and melons are present in this medium-bodied, richly fruity, slightly smoky white Graves. It should drink nicely for 5-7 years."

Learn About Chateau Larrivet Haut-Brion Map ItMap It

Château Larrivet Haut-Brion was acquired by the Gervoson family in 1987. They restored the estate's unity, once again combining the Château, outbuildings, 13 hectares of grounds, and 42 hectares of vines under one owner, as well as replanting 18 hectares of land that had laid fallow.

A team of enthusiastic professionals has done a wonderful job of giving Château Larrivet Haut-Brion back its superb reputation, and the estate is once again universally recognised as one of the finest wines in the Pessac-Léognan appellation.

Learn About Bordeaux White Blends

Bordeaux White Blend
There's white wine in Bordeaux, too! Typically made from Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and bits of Muscadelle, white Bordeaux can be a fully dry table wine or, as in Sauternes, a deliciously sweet dessert wine. In other areas of the world, a Bordeaux blend consists primarily of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, either of which may be the predominant variety. Bordeaux blends can vary in style, but most have good acidity and often a mineral overtone.
